Private or Group Yoga or Meditation Sessions • 75 minutes

As an instructor, I tend to focus my classes on bringing awareness to the breath, connecting the breath with the postures, and putting special attention on proper alignment. You will experience an abundance of stretching - with yummy warm ups, ample time to cool down, and a lovely, long shavasana (your final resting pose of the class). I aspire to create an atmosphere of calm and open energy, acceptance, and one that is full
of awareness and opportunity for growth.

As my student, you will gain the proper knowledge of the correct postures (asanas), learn how to tie them to your breath (pranayama), and how to exercise internal focus or meditation (dhyana) throughout your practice. We will aim to use our yoga practice to to stop the fluctuations of the mind (Yogas chitta vritti nirodha - Pantajali's Yoga Sutras). Essentially, we learn to create space between our thoughts, and slow down and change our reactions. This will allow us to release our negative mental and emotional patterns (samskaras) and consciously replace them with healthier ones that help elevate us towards our highest selves.
